A Deep Dive into My Photographic Journey on the Classic Camera Revival Podcast

See this content in the original post

Every so often, we're given opportunities to articulate our passion and process in new and exhilarating ways. One such opportunity for me was my recent guest appearance on the Classic Camera Revival Podcast, a platform that nurtures and amplifies conversations about photography. Hosted by the knowledgeable and thoughtful Alex and Bill, this podcast has been a go-to resource for me, and the chance to contribute to their dialogue was nothing short of thrilling.

My interaction with Alex and Bill offered a lively and insightful space to discuss various topics: from the analog allure of film stocks and the tangible charm of old-school camera gear, to the abstract concepts that shape my photographic journey. It was a deep dive into the personal aspects of my work, especially my recent book project that captures the distinctive essence of my hometown.

Delving into the intricate threads of my book project was both invigorating and intimate. We explored the book's aesthetic and narrative elements, its nostalgic resonance, and its personal significance. In particular, we discussed how my academic background in psychology and sociology has influenced the book, adding depth to its visual narrative and offering a fresh perspective on the concept of 'home'.

To all photography enthusiasts or anyone intrigued by the confluence of sociology, psychology, and art, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this episode a listen. If the narratives discussed during the podcast resonate with you, I am pleased to share that my book is still available for purchase.

Reflecting on the experience, I can't express enough gratitude to Alex and Bill for inviting me to their podcast, engaging me in such a stimulating conversation, and allowing me to share my photographic journey with their audience. Here's to more inspiring exchanges, creative collaborations, and the continued exploration of our shared passion for photography!
